Your friend asks something to you.
Friend: I was wondering, uh…
You: What’s the matter?
Friend: Could you lend me some money?
You: But why?
Friend: I’d like to buy some present for my girl friend. But I have little money now.
You: How much do you need?
Friend: Well, 10,000 yen or so. I’ll get my salary next Wednesday. So nest week, I can repay the money borrowed from you.
You: All right. Is that all?
Friend: And if it isn’t asking too much, I’d like to borrow your car, too.
You: Sorry, I can’t grant your request.

I was wondering…：「あの……」と頼み事をしたいときに間を置くときに使う。
What’s the matter?：「どうかしたの？」
lend：「貸す」
some money：「いくらかのお金」
need：「必要である」
～or so：「～ほど」
salary：「給料」
repay：「返金する」
borrowed from～：「～から借りた」
if it isn’t asking too much：「厚かましいお願いかもしれないけれど」
borrow：「借りる」
Is that all? ：「それだけ？」
grant someone’s request：「～の願いを聞く」
★和訳★
Your friend asks something to you. (あなたの友人があなたに何かお願いをする。)
Friend: I was wondering, uh… (あの～。)
You: What’s the matter? (どうしたの？)
Friend: Could you lend me some money? (お金をいくらか貸してもらえない？)
You: But why? (でも、何故？)
Friend: I’d like to buy some present for my girl friend. But I have little money now. (ガールフレンドに何かプレゼントを買いたいんだ。でも、今少ししか持っていない。)
You: How much do you need? (いくら必要？)
Friend: Well, 10,000 yen or so. I’ll get my salary next Wednesday. So nest week, I can repay the money borrowed from you. (え～と、10,000円くらいかな。来週の水曜日に給料が入るんだ。だから、来週君から借りたお金を返せるよ。)
You: All right. Is that all? (わかった。それだけ？)
Friend: And if it isn’t asking too much, I’d like to borrow your car, too. (それから、厚かましいお願いなんだけど、車も借りたいんだ。)
You: Sorry, I can’t grant your request. (悪いけど、君の願いは聞けないね。)
